The path extends for about 18 kilometres starting from the village of Villa Rendena and ending beyond Pinzolo, the town located at the junction of the upper Val Rendena and Val Genova. The cycle path ought to begin in the town of Tione but the section which links it to Villa Rendena has yet to be completed.

The route follows the valley floor, along the course of the river Sarca, which later flows into Lake Garda, through the meadows of the villages of Iavrč, Darč, Vigo and Pelugo. It crosses the stream which flows out of Val Borzago and continues along the left bank of the Sarca as far as Spiazzo and Mortaso where it crosses the river again to reach the village of Strembo, right by the offices of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. Proceeding in the direction of Pinzolo the cycle path circles the Crosetta Park with its sports facilities, passes beneath the main road and branches off to form a ring by the village of Caderzone. On reaching the football pitch the cycle path ring closes and continues along the bank of the river Sarca as far as the bridge which leads into the town of Pinzolo. A few hundred metres further on the river receives the inflow of its two main branches known as the Sarca di Genova and the Sarca di Campiglio.
A section of the route continues along the right bank of the river, climbing up a part of the Sarca di Genova to end at the bridge at Vetreria. The other section of the cycle path, after crossing the bridge, follows the left bank of the river up the Sarca di Campiglio to beyond the village of Carisolo where it ends at the beginning of the demanding ascent which leads to Sant'Antonio di Mavignola and Madonna di Campiglio.
